Message It shows in what you wrote to me. Perhaps I'm wrong, but that looks defensive when it doesn't need to be.

so think how much shit you wanna talk. you said.

Are you one of those people that when you see a certain car dogged on you jump right into the fray to say "Hey, those cars CAN be fast!". It sounds like it...and in another time and place that might be fine, but here it's totally out of place. If you know me at all you know that I'm a firm believer in that *anything* can be made fast and I've been around drags since my mom and dad took me in diapers to race her olive green Chevelle. You don't need to teach me about fast four bangers and daily driven sleepers.

What I was saying, and agreeing to is the fact that given the shows parameters, they had to chose fairly common and well known cars. Cars that have fairly simple fuel systems, common ignition systems, huge followings, tons of information out there, tons of parts fit them, etc. Typically those are very tuner friendly cars and are NOT GT/Sports cars to begin with and are not usually powerful from the getgo. Those kinds of cars are inherently more difficult to just drop everything on and effectively upgrade. Take the NSX for example. Stock LS1 Camaros are quicker than those cars in STOCK form through the traps, but the Camaro would be a much easier class of car for them to use. Why? Because with the Camaro the people at Autolink simply need to call up a few parts companies and throw on some parts. All the proper upgrade paths have been done thousands of times and the whole community knows what works and what doesn't.

If it were an NSX...even though a slower car technically, they'd be hard pressed to properly tune the car and find readily available parts combinations. It could be done, but it would be more work putting it all together. Logically, I can understand the choice in using "run-of-the-mill" cars. Forgive the saying, but it's true. Nothing to be offended about...in fact, that's what makes people like you running 10s impressive and yet you took offense? Sorry man, not my intent.
